I create photorealistic drawings and paintings; as well as abstracts which I base on my creative visions.
I create my paintings so people can see the visions I receive and share in my imagination. Whether it is drawing people or painting medleys of contemporary shapes and colours; or developing a painting by sharing with you my life experiences. It is rare that my work is planned in advance I let it happen through a vision or a thought. Then the performance evolves and it is manifested on canvas. I paint what I see in my mind’s eye. I believe that they hold answers to a truth, and point towards our social attitudes. I aim to capture the atmosphere and my feelings. I want to make work that dances on the line between what is our present reality and our distant future a blend between imagination and visions creating an abstraction of art. Therefore as a blend of the contemporary and classical I often use my digitally created paintings and mix this with other medium such as acrylic and oil.
Photorealism is:- a genre of art that encompasses painting drawing and other graphic media, in which an artist studies a photograph and then attempts to create the image as realistically as possible in another medium (extract).
My passion is to recreate art taken from photographs and draw lifelike pictures using a freestyle from of creation. My work shifts between different artistic styles, depending on the source imagery that is being recreated. I develop drawings with lots of detailing. Materials such as loose graphite and pencils are utilised; sketching, smudging (with fingers or a tool) are used to achieve the look I desire in my work.
