I create photorealistic drawings, abstract and conceptual paintings.
Inspired by the works of intuition, nature and music. I create art that captures the moments and an internal feeling when I connect to it. My conceptual pieces dance and bounce the line between what I see between imagination, life experiences and visions.
Photorealism is:- a genre of art that encompasses painting drawing and other graphic media, in which an artist studies a photograph and then attempts to create the image as realistically as possible in another medium (extract).
My passion is to recreate art from collecting personal resourceful imagery, usually by taking photographs after I have spend time in the location. I use a freestyle approach to painting abstracts. My work shifts between different artistic styles, depending on the source imagery or how I desire to create the tone. I develop drawings with lots of detailing, however I enjoy the freestyle method. I shift between materials such as loose graphite, pencils, smudging (with fingers and cotton). Essentially using only a few tools, pencils to sketch and formally create the drawing and source materials.
